Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

I loved it! I was able to have time for me, reflect on my mindfulness practice, and add more tools to my stress resilience toolbox. Thank you!

What is MBSR?

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight-week evidence-based program that offers secular, intensive mindfulness training .  The focus of MBSR is to support people with stress management, anxiety, depression and even physical pain.

The curriculum was developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in the 1970s by Professor Jon Kabat-Zinn. MBSR uses a combination of mindfulness meditation, body awareness, yoga and exploration of patterns of behavior, thinking, feeling and action.  Participants learn practical tools and practices that they can bring into their daily lives along with traditional mindfulness meditation techniques.  MBSR is the most widely respected mindfulness training program in the world.
